Oil of Oregano reaction?

Debbie L asked:

I have been taking Oil of Oregano for about two months ago. Within a week of starting it, I became weak and began experiencing flu-like symptoms with a low of fevers and night-sweats. At the same time, my IBS and yeast problems became much better. My system is now much less acidic and have hopes that my cancer may not reoccur. Anyway, I could not tolerate 300 mgs a day even though the benefits were clear. I ordered a better quality brand enteric in grape-seed oil instead of an olive oil caplet thinking that it might make a difference.. Still the most I can tolerate of this herbal supplement is 150 mgs a day and I am still “sick” for several hours afterward. I have started taking this at night so I can accomplish something during the day but here I am up very late feeling sick. It does not seem like an allergic reaction. I have to have food and lots of liquids with it. Most publications are recommending 150 mgs. several times a day. Has anyone ever had a similar reaction to this? Is this die-off? Will I be able to increase to a higher level someday? If I go off of it, my candida and IBS returns but the flu-like symptoms go away as well.

It could be die off since it produces flu like symptoms. Try lowering your dosage a bit and see if that helps.
Don’t worry so much about the level of the dosage, adjust to what your body can handle.
