Oils Botanicals & Spices....
Some of
the herbs that we offer do come with a caution for their usage. You
will notice a link for these herbs and the cautionary statement will be
on the individual herb page.
As with any
herb, please use them wisely, and do any necessary research before
use.
Did you know...."spices are the seeds, fruits, barks, flowers or roots
of plants." ?
Storing
herbs and maintaining their freshness:
The
way dry herbs are stored dramatically effects how long they will
keep. If you store them in plastic bags in sun lit places, they
will not keep very long. Plastic bags are not a good choice for
storing herbs, unless they are airtight sealed. If you store
them under a vacuum seal, in airtight containers, or in sealed
glass jars in a dark, cool place they can keep a very long time.
When you first buy the herbs, it is a good idea to become familiar
with how they smell. As they lose their fragrance, they also
lose their potency
